On 3 June 2025, SCGI Director Erik Lidman delivered a presentation on stock exchange trading hours at the Nordic Trading Conference in Stockholm, organised by the FIX Trading Community. Erik has investigated changes in stock exchange opening hours and the effects of different trading day lengths. Among other things, the study shows that longer opening hours do not have a negative impact on market liquidity – an argument often used against extended opening hours.
