MAR-seminar on the CJEU judgments Carnegie v. Finansinspektionen and Brännelius

On Wednesday, May 27, Swedish Corporate Governance Forum arranged a Market Abuse seminar concerning the recent judgments by the Court of Justice of the European Union: Carnegie v. Finansinspektionen (C-363/24) and Brännelius (C-229/24).

Both judgments raise questions regarding the concept of inside information, including the requirements for information to be considered of a “specific nature” and what constitutes a sufficient disclosure under MAR.

The seminar opened with doctoral candidate Jesper Zackrisson, SCGI, presenting the background to and content of the two judgments, after which Professors Jesper Lau Hansen, University of Copenhagen, and SCGI Director Erik Lidman commented on the judgments.

Jesper Lau Hansen, Erik Lidman and Jesper Zackrisson have also written shorter comments on each case, published in the Oxford Business Law Blog. More information on the comments, press below.
